Hulu App Update | Check What More Can You Do With The App Now!
Just 2 days back, Hulu announced its updated version of the mobile application that included the brand new interface. It was in CES held in January when they unveiled their interest in bringing the update. Just after this update, they mentioned that one of the pre-announced features was missing in the latest update.
It was then when Hulu worked on bringing to the Hulu app an expanded live TV guide. This announcement came out on 28th August.
On the same day, this feature was live on Hulu.com along with the platforms – Roku devices as well as Apple TV.
What’s this new Expanded Live TV Guide Feature?
After launching the updated Hulu mobile application, they worked on revamping their live TV guide the next day of launch. This live guide allows the user to select the TV platforms for a particular time frame.
This feature allows the users to scroll and find out what’s going to be aired in the time frame of the next two weeks. Along with that, using this feature the users now will be able to schedule the recordings of the upcoming shows, sporting events, as well as movies.
Key Points about this newly added expanded TV Guide feature of Hulu app –
- Scrolling the guide displaying the airing schedule for the next two weeks.
- Scheduling the upcoming shows, movies, and sporting events.
- Easy Navigation & filtering options.
- Easy Detection of how much of the show or movie has already been streamed using green verticle line

From these latest updates, it is clear how serious the company is regarding the Hulu app interface. This happened when the last version of the app was highlighted for its complexity on several forums. Since then, the app has been busy designing the easy and less confusing platform for its users.
With the additional feature of Live TV, they have made the app available for the vast range of devices including web, Fire TV, Android TV, Nintendo, VIZIO Smartcast TVs, Chromecast along with the Samsung and LG Smart TVs.
At last, sources also claim that the company will work on increasing the number of platforms in the coming time.
